South-South Cooperation and Africa: Opportunities

Abstract

A seven-page brief, dated 10 September 2025, on what South-South cooperation offers Africa. It summarises recent figures on South-South trade, intra-African trade, Africa's trade with China and FDI into Africa, and sets out policy levers: faster AfCFTA implementation, regional value chains, investment in manufacturing and logistics, quality infrastructure and export finance.
