Abstract

Asks whether Africa is ready for labour markets shaped by automation and AI. Drawing on OECD, African Union Commission, GSMA, IRENA, World Bank and other data, it measures automation risk, gaps in digital literacy, the state of digital infrastructure and the jobs that AI, digital finance and renewable energy could create. Twenty-one charts compare North, West, East, Central and Southern Africa.
